I went horse riding today!!!! Yay!! It had been a very long time.
The reason I went riding is because Tristin and I decided to try out for the Vet School's riding team. It only lasted 10 minutes but it was great. I wasn't even that rusty:)
I am sorry to say we didn't make the team but we sort of knew it when we showed up. The girls were not all that interested in watching us ride, but got on and popped over some jumps anyway. It was good fun.
Other than riding I am just studying bovine field surgery, animal slaughter and transport, nothing new in this neck of the woods. Hopefully this weekend we will make it out to the West Brewery's Bavarian Oktoberfest, listen to a German Oompah band and drink beer by the liter.

We went to Oktoberfest this weekend in SF! They had a bajillion piece band playing, lots of german beer and lederhosen...good times! :)
I'm glad you got to ride a horse..but wait, why didn't they want you for the team?!
what happened with the riding team...no Americans or were you too old. Don't forget to Polka at Octoberfest!!!
I think we just rode a bit different than the British. Plus we probably weren't quite as good as some of the other girls...we will never know since we missed the others go:(
Awe----sorry you didn't make the cut, their loss, but I sure it felt really good to be back on a horse. Enjoy the beer and bands and dance!
