The Week and Weeks to Come

Sorry for the lack of writing. For some reason the last week flew at painful pace that seemed endless. I know that is contradictory but I can't help that, it is just how it felt. This hole term seems to be flying by...here is a week in the life just for kicks...

Sunday: or as I like to call it Funday...yoga with friends, so painful that I can't move all week

Monday: 9-1 sit through lectures both companion and farm animal
2:30-5- practical. Last week I learned how to do a thoracocentesis (sticking a needle in the chest of a dog to remove air or fluid in an emergency situation...no animals were harmed during the week; we used dummies.)
Gym but still ca
n't move from Yoga
Study if you can
Tuesday:
11:30-5 Lectures ... on farm aniamls and bovine
slaughter, study

Wednesday: 9-12 (1/2 day, Sprots day for the university) Lectures....farm animal...bovine reproduction last week
7:30 swing dancing then study

Thursday:
9-1 lectures...last week; herd fertility, hernias and ruptures, cardiology practical on reading ECGs (very fun). Tristin's B-day dinner. Study

Friday: 9-3:30 Lectures, 2-4:30 practical last week was cardiology. We learned to diagnose arrhythmias of the heart

Saturday: Library study time then last weekend a wedding reception for Catherine and Kenny

So looking at my diary for the upcoming weeks it looks very interesting...let me tell you the subjects I will be studying. It starts of standard...ovohistarecomy lectures, castration lectures, learning how to gown and glove practical. Then lectures get interesting....regurgitaion, vomiting, abortion, vomiting again, gastric dilation and volvulous (twisting), constipation, and small animal diarrhoea. Sounds like a messy week to me. The good news is my first equine lecture will be on the 5th of November (also known as Guy Fawkes Day) so I am looking forward to that.

For those of you interested in my progression of wedding plans...don't be....there are none except for the occational thought of a venue. My mom and sister have done more planing than me. Hopefully this weekend I will have something to report.

Peace out

P.S. Go TREE!! hope the downhill race was fun, and you won!!!
